error displaying event registration

I am using CiviCRM 4.3.0 with word press 3.6

I have created a test event and included it on an otherwise empty page using:

[civicrm component="event" id="1" action="register" mode="live"]

This error message is displayed rather than an event registration screen.

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/mensaasn/public_html/wp-content/themes/wp-creativix/header.php:3) in /home/mensaasn/public_html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Utils/System.php on line 348

The info version works OK and includes a message that on line registration is not enabled.

Help or suggestions appreciated.

1.try using a more recent version of civi (4.3.6, might want to wait for a day or two when 4.3.7 will be out)

2. most likely your theme is outputting something before civi can take over. might want to first get this working using a default theme, and then see how to fix your theme

Thanks for your reply. We are using the standard Creativix theme, is this known to be a problem?

WE are currently just evaluating CiviCRM so are just trying a few basic things, but this seems a very simple exercise that has not worked.

can you switch to the theme shipped with wordpress, i.e. twenty twelve
