Delete sample files
October 01, 2013, 11:51:46 am
When I started up CiviCRM I uploaded the sample contacts and other files to learn the basics.  How do I get rid of them?  I want to do it before uploading my real content.  Please direct me.  Thank you.

I apologize if this has been discussed elsewhere.  I looked here in the forum as well as the help file on CiviCRM and I am just missing it somehow.

your best bet would be to start from scratch, drop and create the DB, load the civicrm.mysql and civicrm_data.mysql files

you could also reinstall and avoid creating sample data

If you are a new user, following the first piece of advice will probably mean you will then need to follow the second (or at least I had to), as you'll cause all kinds of access permissions and constraint violation problems.
