Gift Aid Online Submission extension

Hi,

Has anyone successfully used the 'giftaidonline' extension that is available at http://civicrm.org/extensions/uk-hmrc-online-gift-aid-submission ?

I have started testing the extension for a client, but I've found that even the latest version of the module available from the git repo has some very serious bugs and then just fails to implement other parts of the XML markup that are needed by the HMRC gateway.

Has anyone else got this module to work? Or is there a more up-to-date, functional version of the module available somewhere? I have made a number of modifications to the Veda Consulting version of the extension, but it seems like quite a lot of work will still be necessary before I have something that is functional.

Has anyone else tried using the module? I can't really believe that the published version of the extension has been very useful to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

Hi Ian

We developed the extension for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and tested the submission against the test gateways.

We've had problems reported back from a few organisations who are now trying to use the extension in a live environment and are in the process of curing a problem with the polling of the response, which has move slightly from the original SDS specifications.

We're hoping have have this resolved during the sprints following the conference and will publish 1.2 release once completed.

Please let me know if you need anymore information

p.s. its worth checking the submission table to see if you're getting authentication failures as some of the settings the HMRC require are quite confusing.

p.s. if you've made changes to the extension please use git so that we can add them back in as others have been doing in the community.

I'm in the process of installing the 2 x Gift Aid extensions. There's this one https://civicrm.org/extensions/gift-aid-extension-uk which claims to work with this one https://civicrm.org/extensions/uk-hmrc-online-gift-aid-submission for HMRC online submissions.  But I notice that the submission extension is not at 4.4 level and the above posts seem to indicate a problem with it.

Since HMRC require online submission, isn't this somewhat fatal or is the first extension usable on it own?
