Going to Upgrade Screen Gives Drupal /User Screen
October 06, 2013, 11:26:01 pm
I have a Civi 4.0.7 and Drupal 7.23 site and I am trying bring Drupal up to 4.3.   When I run the upgrade after adding the version number to the database as described in the instructions I get sent from the upgrade page to mysite.com/user. This is true for both user 1 and my admin user.

I have tried everything I can think including different versions to upgrade to 4.0.8 or 4.1 or 4.2 and nothing makes a difference.

I would appreciate some help getting this to work.

Thanks,
Steve

I am not aware of any such thing. Where did you see this?

When I upgrade I get an error that there is no version in the domain table.  I found the documentation to insert the domain at http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC41/Upgrade+Drupal+Sites+to+4.1+-+Drupal+6#UpgradeDrupalSitesto4.1-Drupal6-Versioninformationmissingincivicrmdatabase

Thanks,

You are using SET version = '4.0.7' right?

Anyhow, instead of visiting

civicrm/upgrade?reset=1

try:

index.php?q=civicrm/upgrade?reset=1

Yes, I set the version to  4.0.7. I tried using both the clean and q= URL.

Some of the other things I have done

  • Deleted the templates from /sites/default/files
  • Cleared Drupal and CiviCRM cache
  • Logged out and back in of Drupal  (both as my admin user and user 1)
  • CiviCRM Session Reset URL
  • Turning on backtrace
  • Checked accuracy of both settings.php and civicrm.settings.php

I am just out of ideas here :/

Thanks,
Steve

Try using a base theme and de-activating any addon modules.

There were not extra modules. The theme was the issue.

Thank you for your help!

Suggest always switching to a default theme (garland or seven, etc) before doing a CiviCRM upgrade.  When done, switch back.
