Formatting for address labels
October 10, 2013, 10:30:56 am
CiviCRM's address labels feature is nice - but coming from a client, I see that it would be great if there was a way to do some (maybe very basic) formatting, primarily regarding font size:

Maybe such an easy thing as very basic html tags like

<p style="font-size:smaller;">Font size specified using relative values - smaller</p>

or

<p style="font-size:larger">Font size specified using relative values - larger</p>

I know, there was a feature request on this long ago, which was rejected that time. However, maybe we could give it a new try?

Cheers,
Detlev

One more thing to add, once somebody works on address labels:

There should be an option to sort address labels!

In our country, for discounted postal services (in Germany so-called "Info-Post"), it is mandatory to deliver the envelopes sorted by postal code. Printing the labels in a sorted manner, would make this an easy task. However, in the current version, the address label feature is nice, but of limited value.

The sort function could either be implemented as a drop-down menu when starting to print the labels. Or even easier, the labels might be sorted as they are on the search view, when starting the printing.

Maybe worth an MIH?

I've seen that membership pdf letters respect the search order from the search - if that's not in place for labels it must be possible
