Hello.

I would like to export a group of contacts and include their employer information. Several posts on the forums here (see below) have indicated that exporting relationships is not possible though it may be available in future releases of CiviCRM.

Those posts were made several months ago and I wanted to confirm that exporting of relationships with contacts is still not possible in version 2.0.1 without additional development.

Export of individual contacts' Current Employer name is not available in 2.0.x. It's on the 2.1 roadmap - and an issue has been filed which you can track here:

If you need this sooner, your best bet would probably be creating a "custom search" using the new custom search framework documented here. With some basic PHP and SQL skills you could create a search which would display and export not only the employer name but any other employer-organization fields you might need (e.g. employer address fields, etc.). In fact, if you need more than just employer name, you'll probably need to do this in any case.
