New to civicrm - been using basic functionality for a few months, but now that I am creating events - im having a problem with event links simply redirecting back to the main wordpress page (even thought the url represents the event url)

CiviCRM version 4.3.7
Wordpres Version 3.6.1

Im guessing im doing something very simple, wrong :) but cant seem to figure out what.  I have created 5 test events, and each of the events the "Test Drive" for registration works, but the "Live" redirects me to the main workpress page while keeping the event url in the address bar.

So, what am I missing? :) i KNOW its something simple, its just escaping me - I dont want to require people to register on the wordpress site to register for an event, not sure if that is relevant but figured I would add it

can u ensure that anonymous user has the permission to register for events. this can be found in the permissioning section of wp

yes both of these have anonymous access
CiviEvent: register for events    
CiviEvent: view event info

thanks for any and all assistance :)

FYI here is the event link - it should go to a test event - but it returns to our home page

i tried it on my local install and it works :(

your next thing would be to debug locally (or get your developer/integrator to do so). Might want to add a debug statement in CRM_Utils_System::redirect

please do update this forum once u've figured it out.likely to help other folks in the future :)

Ok well im flying solo here :) so not sure what my next steps will be.
Not seeing anything in the logs that would even show a redirect, and this is a out of the box install - no customizations as of yet (outside of theme selection and page creation) so I have not been able to get any events to actually work yet.

So any additional suggestions would be helpful

Not sure what happened still not root cause - but a complete reinstall of wordpress, new database, new civicrm, and new database - and all s working now..

so i do not have an answer for you as to why it broke, but a clean reinstall fixed everything :|

I am having the same issue in Joomla.

Anyone having the same issue?
