Upgrade 4.3.5 to 4.4beta Fatal error - PseudoConstant.php on line 278
October 20, 2013, 08:54:04 am

Hi

Really weird one but on our multi site build have just ran an upgrade from 4.3.5 to 4.4beta...5 of the 7 sites appear to have upgraded just fine but for 2 of the sites I get the following fatal error message;

Fatal error: Class name must be a valid object or a string in /home/ehfa/www/www/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/PseudoConstant.php on line 278

I can't see any difference in the build so not idea why this error is only on 2 of the sites and not all of them.

help...!!!

Robbie

Can you turn on debug-backtrace so we can see the stack?

Hi Coleman

Apologies but I had to do a system restore back to 4.3.5 as the 2 sites I lost were pretty crucial with ongoing event booking and membership. I will try again in a couple of weeks and if I get the same issue will post the results.

Regards

Robbie

If you don't help us fix this issue, then yes you will get the same results in a couple weeks. Let's save a lot of hassle and fix it now instead.
Please try to get a backtrace today as we will be releasing 4.4.0 stable in a day or two and this bug really should get fixed in time for that release.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Coleman

Apologies, because it was a working site I wasn't allowed to have any downtime so had to revert and today has been the first chance I've had to run an upgrade but got a completely different issue which I will post in the forum.
