Send Copy of Receipt to Designated Third Party

Is there a way to send an event confirmation receipt to a third party, ad hoc? For example, if an employee wants to send a copy of their registration to the bookkeeper, is there any way for him to add that person's email to a profile and have a copy go to that person at the same time the participant receives their copy?

Could it be done by creating a hook to capture the third-party email and stick it in the CC Receipt to field when creating the event??

It is not standard Civi.   

What is wrong with the no-coding solution of expecting the employee to forward the email receipt to the bookkeeper when they receive it?

Joanne - Thanks for the reply. The client wants their members to not have to do any additional work to get the information to their bookkeeping departments AND they want the ability to register multiple people for an event and have the receipts and confirmations go to a single source, without involving the issues around duplicate email addresses in each person's contact record.
