Upgrade from 4.3 to 4.4 for Joomla Getting error CiviCRM 4.4.0 requires MySQL tr
October 24, 2013, 02:56:13 am
I have just upgraded my civicrm 4.3 to 4.4 for Joomla 3.1.5
And I got error message bellow when I have clicked URL for the database upgrade script.

An error has occurred.
 CiviCRM-001
Sorry but we are not able to provide this at the moment.
CiviCRM 4.4.0 requires MySQL trigger privileges.
Return to home page.

Now how to upgrade database compatible to civicrm 4.4 version ?

You need to enable trigger privileges in MySQL. Ask your host about that.

My website hosting plan is with Godaddy and Unfortunately, triggers are not available with shared hosting as the SUPER privilege is needed to run all triggers. This privilege is not granted to shared hosting users.  :(

So how to enable trigger privileges in MySQL?  ::)

You will need to find a host that allows you trigger privileges in MySQL. If your current host does not allow that, then you will need to switch to a new host. You may want to read the various reviews of GoDaddy's hosting on these forums and you will see that GoDaddy has historically not been the best choice for hosting CiviCRM.

the civicrm listing of hosting provider partners is here:

https://civicrm.org/providers/hosting

we are just starting to build the list from our partner program and will get more populated over the next few weeks
