Can Drupal Rules access CiviCRM custom fields

CiviCRM 4.1.5

I've searched around the web for about 15 minutes but have not found a way to do this.

I want to create a Drupal rule that will have access to CiviCRM custom fields.

The idea is I want to update a custom field value table with the value one of the columns in the civicrm_uf_match table. Eventually I'll write a module to do this but thought doing it with a rule would be quicker.

The rule would be triggered when the new user joins.
