My goal would be to have 1 price set with two fields. 1) $50 registration fee [required for users and optional for admin], 2) $0 Comp Registration [admin only visible].

I know i could do something like this with cividiscount, but i prefer not not have a coupon code box. And not have to create a coupon code every time we do this. We do this a lot, but I am not usually the person creating this events/contributions pages, so keeping it as simple as possible would be great.

Any chance your org / client could sponsor this feature? Seems like something like this has come up in the past (different rules for user vs admin with regard to prices), so would eb nice to have a UI based out-of-box solution

We figured out an easy solution. We added a price field that is visible only to admins, worth (-50), effectively making it a $0 option by using the two fields together. I imagine we could also make a fill in field worth -$1 and comp any amount we want.

I am sure there are probably limitations to this way of doing it, and having a UI solution for different rules for user vs admin with regard to prices would be a good idea. For now my issue has been resolved.
