"Reply to" replies not processing as Activities

Good morning!

Our goal is to have responses to bulk mail emails to be processed as an Activity for the person who responds.

We have two g-mail emails set up, one for Bounce and one for Email to Activity. When setting up a new bulk mailing the Reply to field is "Auto-Generated" . Where is this determined and can we change it so that we can process responses as Activities?

Dont think u can do this via the UI. I think you can redirect the "reply-to" for each mailing to the from address (check track replies on the second screen) in the civimail process and then use the email processor to tag those emails as activities

We now will try to figure out how to do the email processor tag thingee you suggest...  ;D (Yep, newbie says "thingee"...)

Just picking up on this thread, I think that this whole issue about tracking replies confuses many people. I think that when they tick this box they do assume that any replies to the bulk mail will get recorded in CiviCRM as an activity, and then, if the other options are checked, the message gets forwarded to the sender, and/or an auto-reply is issued. In fact, would this not be a better default behaviour, because as far as I'm aware what actually happens is that it is simply noted in the mailing report that the user replied, and nothing more.
