Import Activities - not a valid date
November 01, 2013, 08:55:57 am
Using CiviCRM 4.4.0 on drupal 7. Trying to import a CSV of activities, I get past step 3 with the correct number of lines due to be imported (in other words the csv file passes the syntax check at that point) but no data is imported.

The post-import check says:

Total Rows   2047   Total rows (activity records) in uploaded file.
Invalid Rows (skipped)   2047   Rows with invalid data in one or more fields. These rows will be skipped (not imported)
Records Imported   0   Rows imported successfully.

Having downloaded the errors, the specific error is "activity_date_time is not a valid date: 30/09/2013"

This is despite having specified that date format in the first screen. Changing the date format in the csv file to yyyy-mm-dd and re-running the import, specifying that date format works OK.

Anyone else found that alternate date formats don't actually import?

I'm having this issue too with 4.4.4, can't work it out. I've tried various csv formats for Unicode UTF-8, starting with a clean spreadsheet, etc.

I am also having this issue  with 4.4.4.

I have tried every date format and even tried exporting some activities to see how the date looks and trying that format but still no luck!

Anyone have any work arounds?

Since there are three error reports for this on 4.4.x, it sounds like it is a bug.  Have you checked if it has been reported / fixed in a newer version.  Otherwise might be useful to read http://civicrm.org/bug-reporting and report it

I'm having the same problem.  Until there's a fix, can you suggest a workaround?
