Webform Payments show problems with Paypal Button
November 04, 2013, 06:05:42 am
I am not sure, if I am right on this place of the forum - but I want to give it a try:

I set up Webform 4 with CiviCRM integration in civiCRM 4.4.0 and tried to finalize a donation form (divided on three pages). Everything seemed to work quite well - until it comes to the payment itself:

When I press the Paypal-Button, I am not sent to the Paypal Page, as it was the case on the civicrm online contribution form. Instead, I get back to the previous page of the webform... Looks like a bug? Or did a make something wrong?

Would be great if i could get some help or direction...

Cheers,
Detlev

Sorry, but Paypal STD is not yet supported by Webform-CiviCRM Integration. The code that would handle redirecting to Paypal and back has not been written, as it was not part of the MIH funding.
If there is demand for this feature and someone wants to step up with seed funding we could start a new MIH for it.
But for a small monthly fee you could upgrade to Paypal Pro, which will work with webforms. It makes for a better user experience anyway, so I think using PayPal pro is worth the small fee.

OOPS - after some more research I had to find out, that this a very severe problem:

PayPal Website Payments Pro is offered only in USA, Canada and UK - but nowhere else in the world!!!

Especially for our organisation, which is based in Germany, it comes out that webform DOES NOT SUPPORT PayPal at all at this point of time...

omg. And we wanted to get live in 10 days with a contribution form using drupal webform...

Any ideas for another solution? How much would be the effort to integrate the paypal express button into webform payments?
