Problem storing "Organization Address and Contact Info"
November 06, 2013, 04:14:02 am
Hello,
I have an issue with the information filled out in the "Organization Contact Information" section of the "Organization Address and Contact Info" screen. I inherited a CiviCRM installation with many problems, most of them due to errors in the "config_backend" field of the single "civicrm_domain" table record. I was able to solve all the problems, except for this one:

The Email and Phone fields of the "Organization Contact Information" section are never stored. The page just reloads with the old information. Also, I see these "add" and "Add another Phone number" links, that I cannot see in a clean installation of CiviCRM 4.4.0 (see attached file). I wonder if this option to add extra emails and phone numbers is supposed to be there, and why it appears in my install? I'm pretty sure both issues are related to a problem with the configuration. I just cannot find it.

I wonder if anybody can help me with explaining where this information is stored in the database. I hope that by understanding how and where it is stored, I'll get to the configuration error faster.

Thanks,
Joeri

Can you try clearing templates_c folder in your upgraded instance.

email and phone values are stored in civicrm_email and civicrm_phone tables respectively. civicrm_loc_block table links domain and civicrm_email/civicrm_phone tables.

Hi Kurund, thanks for the swift reply. I deleted the content of folder templates_c and I even deleted the 2 records in table "civicrm_loc_block", so it was empty, but the problem still remains. The e-mail address still shows up and I am not able to change it.

I looked for all contacts with that e-mail address (this is the administrative e-mail for the organization I am working for) and the strange thing is, two contacts show up: one as individual (cid: 1 - the "admin" user), and one as organization (cid: 29822). Both contacts contain the same information. I have added another screenshot. My guess is that this is a corrupt state of the database, and one of them needs to be removed. Is that correct?

What I'm planning to do is to change all appearances of this particular e-mailaddress in MySQL and carefully change it at places (starting with organization cid: 29822) just to figure out where CiviCRM is retrieving it from (unless you have a better idea, of course).

Thanks,
Joeri
