Automatic Address Transfer from Employee to Employer
November 07, 2013, 01:07:57 pm
When I create a new individual record, and I change the address field to WORK, and I have also entered the individuals EMPLOYER, I would like it to take that address, and automatically enter it into the new EMPLOYER record it just created.

Is this even possible, or am I just missing it.

Thank you

Upperholme

It is possible for an individual contact to share the address of a related (for example their employer) contact, or vice versa.

as upperholme says, there is a 'shared address' capability as per
- i have a current employer
- you can set one of my addresses as 'work' and then use the autocomplete to find my 'employer' and set it to 'share' which ever of the employer's addresses is the one you want

but i don't recall seeing anyone doing the coding required that would do the following
- if contact has a current employer then automatically share the address of the employer as the employee's work address.

though as i write that it doesn't sound somewhat familiar so hope someone else can point to what has already been done if more searching by you turns nothing else up.
