Using Message Templates in case management
November 10, 2013, 01:27:28 pm
Am I dreaming or is there a way of choosing to send an email from within "manage case" and then using a message template as the basis of that email?

i dont think this is on the manage case screen.

however you can send email via activity search, so maybe you saw/read about that?

At the top of the contact screen in the black "Actions" menu there is a send email option. It is not case-specific but once sent you can choose to "File on case"
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.

On manage case expand the roles section. You send an email from in there, and can use templates.

Is it possible to have the same functionality for Print PDF Letters?

Do you mean the action from the dropdown on contact search results? Looks like yes you just select the template from the dropdown on the pdf letter creation form?

No, what I mean is that on the Case itself, it is possible on the tab 'Roles' to send an e-mail to one of the contacts/Roles.
Using that e-mail option, you can choose templates.

I would like to know if the same functionality is available for printing PDF Letters.

See attachment.

Not currently. The quickest would probably be to click on the name and then as described above use the black actions menu to choose pdf.
