Any easy way to disable the icalendar link from showing up?
April 11, 2008, 05:18:42 pm
After registering for an event, the link to download the icalendar file shows up at the bottom of the thank you page, as well as in the confirmation email.  Normally it would be fine, but the types of users that will be registering for some events I am having, are not particularly computer savvy, and will have no idea what and ical file is; it will probably just confuse them.

Is there any easy way to get rid of the ical stuff from even showing up (in confirmation page and email)?

Thanks.

Using civicrm 2.02 and joomla.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but it doesnt seem like the link you posted has anything to do with removing the icalendar links?  Looks like that thread is a discussion about adding an additional address line?

Update: I think I found the one you meant to link to: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,3017

Sorry, thought I looked earlier but I guess not hard enough.

Thanks. :)

Update2:  Incase anyone else wants an easy way to do it:

civicrm/templates/CRM/Event/Page/EventInfo.tpl
comment out lines 95-100

civicrm/templates/CRM/Event/Page/ThankYou.tpl
comment out lines 120-125

civicrm/templates/CRM/Event/Form/Registration/ReceiptMessage.tpl
comment out lines 48-49

and I think thats it as far as I can tell.
