Wordpress, Dreamhost, and CivicRM

OK - I know this probably doesn't go here because this really isn't an install - but....

I had CivicRM 3.5.4 running smoothly. Dreamhost upgraded wordpress to 3.7.1 and now civicrm has went a bit unresponsive. I upgraded to 4.4.1 this weekend and it's still slow - borderline unusable.

Thought's? I'm chasing down everything from plugins being an issue to database and I'm spinning in circles.

are u on dreamhost shared hosting? or vps? if shared hosting, please spend a few more $$$ and switch to better hosting and/or migrate to VPS. The list of hosting providers is here:

It's shared. It was working great until the wordpress 3.7.1 update.

hello rjhale, did you resolve this problem? I was interested b/c I was thinking of using Dreamhost, and your problem gave me pause.
