Price set income report
November 14, 2013, 09:55:34 am
Our client uses an extensive price set for conference registration and they'd like to have a report or search result that shows the total income for each price set option. Ideally, they'd add a column that also shows the final contribution amount for each person, since they sometimes manually adjust that. I've looked through search, reports, forums, etc. and haven't found a good solution. I could take the Price Set Export and sub in values where there is a 1, but that doesn't quite do it for the client. Any other ideas? Thanks!

No such report or search exists that does a nuanced price set breakdown like you describe.  It's a good idea, though, and anything is possible with time and money.

The closest I've seen at this point is skilled use of an Export and a Excel spreadsheet using searching and 'text to columns' within the Excel.

might want to check eileen's priceset report:

https://civicrm.org/extensions/extended-reports

i suspect you can use this as a basis and extend it for your use case (and hopefully fix and contribute your patches back to eileen)

Has anyone tested this with Drupal 6 Civi 4.2.x?    Also need line item reporting for event income and options in a daily report format.

Thanks!

i would be surprised if it didn't work with 4.2 since that is where we had most of our clients for a long time.
