Special charaters are not shown after installation in german

Hello,

I have installed CIVI-CRM some days ago. I installed CIVI-CRM with der German translation.
Now there are some Characters with are not shown correct.
For example:
EUR (€)
Teilnahmegebühr
Kommunikationspräferenzen
---

Has somebody a solution for that problem.

We have the same problem ...

I believe, this is a similar issue with this one:
http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,30427.0.html

There, the problem is with currency symbols (like the € = Euro). For $, which is also a currency symbols, this might not be a problem, because $ is part of any standard character set...
