I'm working through my first CiviCRM installation and running into a problem integrating the contribute/membership page into the website....

Having completed the setup of a CiviContribute page (I think) to take memberships, I tried to access the "Test Drive" page, but it renders as blank white with no text.  I'm wondering if this is a Wordpress issue or a CiviCRM issue.  When I go to the "Live" page, it displays as a portion of the front page of the website cut off about 1/4 of the way down...

So... is there something I'm missing in CiviCRM or is this a Content Management System/theming issue that I will need to resolve over on the Wordpress site?

I suspect it may be the permission (Access control) to access the CiviCRM contribution page.

Can you check whether anonymous user have 'CiviContribute: make online contributions' permission. You need to enable this permission for anonymous users for them to access CiviCRM contribution pages.

CiviCRM Navigation menu >> Administer >> Users & Permissions >> Permissions (Access Control). Click 'WordPress Access Control' link and configure/check the permissions and save.

also for white/blank pages, i'd also check the apache error logs and see if there is an error there that is stopping things

Thanks very much for the replies... but it doesn't look like it is either of those issues causing the problem.

Looking at the "CiviContribute: make online contributions" row, all boxes are checked, including anonymous.  When it comes to the Apache error log, the best I can come up with is "error.log" on the server, but there is nothing in that file that appears to reference CiviCRM at all.  Just a couple cron errors.

Of course, we are slightly above my pay grade here, so if I'm doing something wrong in either of these cases, please let me know.  Otherwise, I'm still looking for ideas to move things forward on my problem.

Thanks again for any light you might be able to shed on this issue.

Might it by a theme/css issue between Wordpress and CiviCRM?

at this point, i suspect you will need to get someone who can take a look and debug the code / site as needed

As a quick additional piece of information, the "Test Drive" preview from within CiviCRM returns a completely blank page... this tells me that the problem sits in CiviCRM somewhere... perhaps a setting that I am missing or some other error.

Are there people who can help troubleshoot an individual installation?
