Well, I have now upgraded to 4.4.3. The autocomplete feature still does not work - appears to be a js query problem that I cannot reproduce anywhere else nor do I know how to resolve. Additionally, receipts for paid events still are not being sent out.

I'm open to ideas, guys.  ???

Have you got any news on this? I have the same problem with autocomplete and search builder. The ajax request (
Code: [Select]
.../drupal/civicrm/ajax/rest?...) returns an "500 Internal Server Error".

Make sure your user has "Access AJAX api" permission.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.

It's the admin user. So yes, he has that permission. But auto-complete should work for non-admin users as well, because they only make indirect AJAX requests (via interface). I also changed all collations of 'civicrm' and 'drupal' databases to 'utf8_unicode_ci'. Still no luck.
