Self-service volunteer hours/status with a webform
November 18, 2013, 04:56:25 pm
Just saw the video of Frank's talk where he mentioned the need for self-service volunteer hours logging.
Just wanted to point out that as usual, Webform-CiviCRM can do it :)
- Create a webform and go to the CiviCRM -> Activity tab
- Set activity type as "Volunteer"
- Set "update existing activity with status" to "Scheduled"
- Set status to completed
- Expose the volunteer custom field "Actual Time Spent (minutes)"

Viola! Volunteers can visit the form and it will automatically update their status to completed and enter their time spent.
