CiviCRM Rules Integration
November 19, 2013, 12:42:56 am
Hi everybody !

I'm using civicrm rules integration and I have troubles with adding a new action.

I'm trying to add a new contact to a specific group when the Drupal user is using a transaction page with an id of XXX.

I succeed to get the Url and the event of "new civicrm contact created" but can't grab the "data selector", it always says "The data selector 'CiviCRM Contact: civic user: CiviCRM Contact:' for the contact parameter is invalid.

Any ideas ?

just checking why you can't do this by using a specific profile on the contrib page and use that to add to a specific group?

You might like to try the civicrm_entity_actions module

https://github.com/eileenmcnaughton/civicrm_entity_actions

I decided to experiment with adding actions outside the civicrm_entity module until I am sure the best approach. Current actions are around adding & removing from group/tag & assigning & unassigning activities. I have only tested from a view but believe will work 'anywhere' (ie. rule etc0

Thanks a lot petednz and Eileen !

I tried with the profile and it works perfectly. I just need to hide it with some css.

But Eileen's answer seems very interesting so I think I will try it too !

Thanks again for your support !!
