CiviSMTP error when trying to send email

Hi,
We are unable to send any mail using CiviSMTP today. The below error message is shown both in the log and in warning message when trying the settings using the "Save & Send Test Email" button in the Outbound email settings page in CiviCRM

Code: [Select]
Failed to send data [SMTP: Invalid response code received from SMTP (outbound mail) server while attempting to send email.
This is often caused by a misconfiguration in the CiviCRM Outbound Email settings.
Please verify the settings at Administer CiviCRM >> Global Settings >> Outbound Email (SMTP).
(code: 452, response: Cannot send an email! An email has been sent to ********* with more information.)]

The above error message shows Code: 452 is returned which suggests the error is "Requested action not taken: insufficient system storage". We have multiple projects using different CiviSMTP accounts and hosted on different servers all showing the same error. So it seems the issue is within CiviSMTP server.

Please let us know if there is something we need to do.

The service should be back up now.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, our alert system failed to notify us of the outage and we're looking into why.

Unfortunately we are still facing the same issue. It has not resolved for us. Please look into it.

Same problem here - with two different civismtp accounts (same dedicated server though).

I've had one mailing go through successfully. We actually thought it was our site that had run out of space, which was actually the case. After deleting a bunch of stuff in /var/mail/root, seems seemed to work but we are still getting reports of failures

the service is working now but we are still working on making sure it doesn't go down again.

We have fixed the problem that caused the intermittent service outage for some of the CiviSMTP customers between midnight November 19 and midnight November 20.

Additionally we are scheduling a maintenance downtime to conduct more test and improvements to ensure it doesn't happen again.

We  will send out a notice to all customers and post here the exact days/times of the maintenance window.
