Mismatched contact IDs OR Mismatched contact Types
November 20, 2013, 05:29:30 pm
I seem to get the above error message on about half of the records I try to import.  There are no contact IDs in the import, and they are all individuals.  They are in fact duplicates, and I assume are detected by the "name and address" dedupe rule which I am using.  However this import is set for "update" so I am not seeing any reason why the records would bounce rather than updating the existing record.  Any suggestions appreciated.

I guess, that the duplicate contacts are of another type (e.g. organisations).
CiviCRM's importer will detect the duplicate, but cannot perform the update, since the contact types don't match.

Could you check for that?

No.  They are individuals being updated as individuals.
