CiviCRM and Joomla 3.2+
November 21, 2013, 08:23:54 am
I fell like I'm seeing some conflicting information on CiviCRM and Joomla 3.x. Reading this forum post and seeing the Joomla Extension Directory listing, I get the impression that CiviCRM will not work with Joomla 3.x at the moment. However, the Joomla Install Guide states that it will work on Joomla 2.5.x or 3.0. Can anyone comment on how well CiviCRM works with Joomla 3.2? I know I have seen a lot of posts about changes between 3.1 and 3.2 affecting some extensions.

our demo site runs 2.5.x and most of our internal testing is on that version

however, quite a few folks have reported that it does work nicely in 3.2. There are a few css changes and other improvements we should make.

We do need more joomla implementors / developers to give it a go on 3.x and report issues AND file patches to help us get to 3.2

Thanks Lobo! I have it running in a Joomla 3.2 environment on a development server and I can say that so far, it is running nicely. I will agree that there are some CSS modifications that are needed. However, I need to get more familiar with how CiviCRM works and expect CSS changes to be very minor.
