Hey:
I'm trying to make some changes to my membership renewal notice cycle - mainly adding more automated emails to the process. Before I begin, however, does anyone know of a way to check and see if my current renewal notices are even going out?

I've looked into the activity log already, which states that the emails are being sent. On a side note, when I tried to create a new activity for an additional notice that I was creating, the process didn't really seem like it was connecting to CiviCRM's automated mailing process.

BUT, when I look into (admin>system settings>scheduled jobs>Update Membership Statuses and Send Renewal Reminders (Daily)) those same automated emails are not recorded as having been sent.

Any insight on this process is welcome. I've looked through the manual and the information provided did not seem to help.

The individual emails are not recorded in the Scheduled Job log. You should look in your server's mail log if you want absolute proof the emails are being sent, or schedule yourself to receive a reminder (by giving yourself a membership with the right date).
