Migrating from Wordpress to Drupal
November 26, 2013, 06:26:53 am
I have been searching around looking for any notes or information to migrate the CiviCRM WordPress database to the CiviCRM Drupal Database.   Currently we have been using the CiviCRM WordPress for a few years.  However,  I am experimenting on using Drupal as the membership driven portal yet, use WordPress for everything else.

Is there any documentation or recommendation on how to merge at least the Contacts / Membership information would be greatly appreciated.

We are currently using the CiviCRM wordpress 4.3.7 and CiviCRM Drupal 4.4.2.
Thanks!

Donnie Moore

See http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Moving+an+Existing+CiviCRM+Installation+from+one+Drupal+frontend+to+another as it provides the basic idea.

donnie - i think we concluded that having civicrm wired in to both Drupal and WordPress was likely to work and could be a great way for you to cope with the transition if your WP site is active - ie you can explore the Drupal advantages while keeping the WP part ticking over. would have to confirm with Eileen if that is the case if you are interested in that approach
