Cosmetic bug in count of cases for a contact?

This looks like a bug to me.  This contact has two cases against them but the count in the tab bar says 4... see attached screenshot.

The other screenshot (screenshot2) shows that there are 4 rows for this contact in the civicrm_case_contact table, but only 2 unique case_id values.

If someone confirms that this is a bug then I will report it in the Issue Tracker.

I agree it is a bug Mark. However, this situation sometimes occurs when you have created a Case for a Case Type that was not properly configured. The record in civicrm_case is then created, but the rest of the process fails. Does that make sense?
