I've recently encountered a weird issue on one of our installations. When adding a new relationship between individual contacts (like "Partner of", or similar), the "New individual" options does not appear in the "- Create new contact -" dropdown. This only happens when attempting to add relations between individual contacts, when adding a relationship between an individual and an organization or household, the "New Individual" and "New household" options appear like they should.
I have checked that the relationship type settings are correct and this happens both with custom and "built-in" (individual) relationship types.

Has anyone got any suggestions on things to try, in order to fix this?

I actually checked the demosite before posting here and it works fine there. But I just assumed that it was a weird setting somewhere that caused this, I will attempt to update to 4.4.2, to see if that fixes it.
