Data Upload
November 27, 2013, 08:44:32 am
Hi gang,

So after an upgrade to 4.2.13, we're noticing that data uploads are no longer creating contacts.

However they're completing successfully.

How can I go about debugging this? Does anyone have any similar experience?

Thanks,

I have not seen anything like this, but can offer you that I believe there are no schema changes between 4.2.9 and 4.2.1x.  This means a roll back to a previous LTS code version (4.2.12) should be straightforward and possible.

Hi CiviTeacher.com,

Thank you for your reply. It emerges that this problem may be being caused by one of our custom modules, and may even be unrelated to the upgrade. We're investigating this currently  8)

I'll post back here and confirm either way.

So it turns out that it was a problem to do with one of our custom modules.

If an expected relationship field was null it was simply silently failing to create the data, but reporting that it had.
