Hello,

I'm looking into using CiviCRM for a charity, but one key requirement is synchronisation with the Mac Contacts or Address Book app. It seems to me that the best route for this would be through CardDAV support. I saw a post discussing this from the beginning of this year, but can't find anything further. Is there an update on some sort of sync solution for CiviCRM contacts?

Hi Jolin,

A better approach IMO is to use LDAP - that will let you do live lookups without an import/export. See here for the Mac side of it: http://helpdesk.illinoisstate.edu/kb/1609/Configuring_LDAP_Directory_Service_Lookup_in_Address_Book_in_Mac_OS_X_10_6_and_10_7/

The Civi side can be handled with "ldapcivi": https://civicrm.org/blogs/chrischinchilla/civicrm-and-ldap%E2%80%A6-journey
