Error Importing - Technical Difficulties

When I import using standard fields, I get to the webpage:

"We are experiencing some technical difficulties. Please try again later. "

The first time I tried this, it imported 209 of 941 items. I tried it again, and it imported about 50 more contacts.


I looked in the log under /files/civicrm/upload/status_aa71....txt and see this:

[21,"\n<div class=\"description\">\n&nbsp; <strong>200 of 941 records - 10 minutes 52 seconds remaining<\/strong>\n<\/div>\n"]

Any other place I can check for errors?

This is more a system configuration issue than a civicrm issue. There are too many factors and variables for a specific answer. A few things:

a. check php memory and execution time

b. i think php as an apache module allows a lot more flexibility than php as fcgi etc. No idea about nginx

c. Other system resources / timeouts
