Putting tags in profiles

Is there any way to put a tag into a profile? We have additional communications options stored as tags (because you cannot add to the "Do not mail, Do not phone, etc. list) and would like to give people joining our organization the opportunity to select these options.

Yes, you can add Tag(s) to profile. When adding a field to profile, select 'Contacts' --> 'Tag(s)' in Field Name.
