wordpress embed shortcode icon missing

I just upgraded civicrm to 4.4. Before this I was able to click the civicrm icon on a post or page to embed a short code. Like in these directions:
http://book.civicrm.org/user/current/contributions/setup/ (towards the middle of the page under "Page or Post in WordPress")

Anyone else have this issue or know how to solve it?

My short codes aren't working (appearing via button on text editor) either. Would love to have a fix!
