FPDF errors when using XAMPP
April 15, 2008, 07:24:56 am
Thanks to the help on this forum I've managed to get 1.7 upgraded to 2.0 and running in XAMPP.  However, when trying to print mailing labels I now get the following error:

Code: [Select]
FPDF error: Could not include font metric file
Is this an issue with FPDF expecting Linux hosting and finding Windows?

In case it's useful, I also see the following:

Code: [Select]
* warning: FPDF::include(helvetica.php) [function.FPDF-include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\xampp\php\PEAR\fpdf.php on line 550.
* warning: FPDF::include() [function.include]: Failed opening 'helvetica.php' for inclusion (include_path='.;C:/xampp/civicrm/sites/all/modules/civicrm/;C:/xampp/civicrm/sites/all/modules/civicrm/\packages;.;C:\xampp\php\pear\') in C:\xampp\php\PEAR\fpdf.php on line 550.

I've tried amending the forward slashes to backward slashes in civicrm.settings.php but with no luck.

This is most likely due to an fpdf issue and directory separators in windows vs unix

You might want to search on the web and see if there are workarounds / support for fpdf/ufpdf on windows

Thanks lobo.

Since this is just a dev installation I'm not too worried with Windows compatibility issues.  I'll be moving it to a proper host shortly so I'll repost if the problem comes up again.

Error "file too large" when using XAMPP
July 04, 2014, 12:46:51 am
I am trying to upload at file of CiviCRM to my Joomla Site running on an XAMPP server and it does not like the size of the file.  It says it is out of the parameters of exceeding more than 2MBs.

Is there another way to load the file to this site?

Please provide me link of step by step instructions.

@ Paco - please start a new topic.  Your problem has nothing to do with the original post.

@ joanne I am asking a related question to the same thing.  English is second language, but I do think my topic is related since it is an XAMPP issue and getting errors.

If you could please clarify.

Thanks.

Paco

@Paco

If you had encountered an FPDF error when using XAMPP then you might post on this issue but as this topic is over 8 years old it would have been better to start a new topic.

But you don't have a FPDF error, you have a different type of error,  so you should definitely start your own topic. It should have a subject of something like "CiviCRM file too large to upload to my XAMPP server".

Each topic should deal with one specific issue only.
