Email address is a required field in conatcts info, can we change to optional?

A majority of the businesses in our small community are rather computer illiterate, to the point that they do not have email addresses. Can we change the email address field to an optional field to accommodate them in our database?

Hi there,

E-mail is NOT a required field.

For individuals, you must have an e-mail address OR last name.  For organizations, you just need an organization name.  Perhaps you're entering businesses as individuals rather than organizations?
