Issue with non-expanding tabs due to CKEditor
December 11, 2013, 07:23:15 am
Dear civicrm users,

I just got started installing civicrm 4.4.3 on a debian server with mysql 5.5.31 and php 5.4.4.

The main issue I am having is that tabs do not expand for new contacts, households and organisations. The tabs expand in advanced search, though.

Since I checked the demo installation of civicrm and it works there, it is unlikely to be a browser or civicrm problem.

Firebug indicates only one problem which lead me to a temporary solution:
ReferenceError: CKEDITOR is not defined

Therefore, switching the editor under Administration >  Settings - Display Preferences to TinyMCE makes the contact editor work, its tabs expand again.

Still, I find that error odd, since as far as I know CKEditor is installed together with civicrm?

Is that probably an indication of deeper issues with my installation?

Any thoughts or similar experiences would be highly appreciated!

All the best,
Georg

Solved the issue - for some unknown reason the ressource path was wrongly set during installation (at least I am quite sure I never touched it). Simply correcting the path (mainly by adding the top level domain ".de" part) resolved that issue, thankfully :)
