Help fund Google APIs Console to enable Google Maps,Google Civic,other APIs

My organization would really like to be able to use the Google Maps API for geocoding many (10s of thousands) Civi contact addresses in real time, and the Google Civic API to add election district info to Civi contacts. We are all limited to 2.500 geocoded addresses per day if using Google geocoding with Civi as is. There are probably other Google APIS that would be useful.

Apparently Civi needs to be able to use the Google APIs Console to allow the use of these and other Google APIs. Surely there are other organizations that would fine this useful. 

So - is your organization interested in using these (or other) Google APIs, and in helping with a Make It Happen project funding?

I would love to see this happen.  We are also looking to add district info to our contacts.

can your org fund development of this feature? would be great and would help make it happen

i suspect its a 100-200 hour project (10-20K)

Lobo, ldugger, thanks for the replies and sorry for the delayed response.

I was hoping this might be something the Google Summer of Code folks might take up but they have their projects already. 

My organization cannot fund the entire thing. But we would probably kick in to a Make It Happen if we can get others recruited. Checking it out now but seems like we want to make Make It Happens more "Kickstarterish" ( or  "IndieGoGoish" etc) meaning more easily public, more bandwagon effect, more social media friendly etc.

Also, would be great if we admins and users who are not developers or core team members could more easily self-organize to make Make It Happens, happen - meaning, being able to search on this forum and CiviCRM.org much more easily for other admins and users by geography, "industry" (non-profits by sector), org type(s) (membership/community based, political activity or not, etc).

Would be interested in helping spearhead this work and restarting the MIH stuff? Maybe, we should switch to using one of the crowd/bounty sourced sites since they are targetted for this and more fully featured
