can't connect to server

I've just configured my installation according to the instructions, am trying things out now with a test mailing, and getting an error:

Failed to connect to civismtp.uas.coop:20095 [SMTP: Failed to connect socket: Connection timed out (code: -1, response:
  )]

In the how-to (http://civismtp.uas.coop/drupal/node/1) at the very end, it says that the SMTP password must be in the
civicrm.settings.php file. I'm running civicrm 2.0.2 and there is no mention of SMTP password in my civicrm.settings.php.

in 2.0.2 the password is no longer in the settings file.

you can get to it by going to:

administer civicrm -> global settings -> outbound email

and setting the password there.

OK this is what I thought. I checked all my settings on https://civismtp.uas.coop/drupal/civismtp/account (which, when I checked the test button, showed all green) against my civicrm smtp settings and whatnot, they all looked right, corresponding to the instructions. Am still getting the same error message.

if u r getting all green in the tests then everything should be working.

I do not see any connection attempts from you in our logs. 

r u sure that you are allowed outbound smtp connections from your host?

Shane, that seems to have been it. My hosting provider was able to open the port for me and now it's working. Thanks for the help.
