Mail job hangs

Mail jobs sometimes seem to hang, without ending. The process status remains "running".
In some cases the job reports "n" successful mails out from the complete list. While in other cases successful mails reports zero, even if some mails have been sent (as I can check).
How can I check the cause of this hanging?
And how can I check which mails have been sent, against the reported ones?

Hi taxidimu,

I seem to have encountered the same problem, no clue what's wrong so far. Could you solve it for yourself, do you have any suggestions or new ideas?
