I haven't found a good way to report on or search for upcoming expiring  recurring contributions.  We can easily report on what recurring contributions have taken place, but I can't locate a way to pull a list of ones that are expiring.  Does anyone have any insight on how to do this?

Thanks for double checking me,Lobo.  The user wants to know what's expiring in upcoming recurring contributions which does seem like a reasonable request

I discovered that there is new functionality in contribution search - a section devoted to searching for recurring contributions. It has these fields for search arguments:
Start Date          
End Date          
Modified Date          
Next Scheduled          
Retry Date          
Cancel Date       

All of these fields look like fields associated with the Recurring Contribution Master record, but the only one that seems to produce a result (searching for start date) gives a list of contributions, NOT the record that controls the recurring contribution.  Am I missing something here?  With the lack of functionality that I am finding,  it appears to me that I should post it on the Issue Tracker.   

The focus of adding the recurring stuff to the advanced search was finding contacts with recurring contributions that met date criteria. I didn't look at rendering the results in terms of other entities (contributions , recurring contributions) - although from your comments it sounds like it does render as contributions.

I'm not sure how hard it would be to make it possible to view recurring contribution profiles from advanced search results (does sounds useful). It would be fairly easy in a report extension
