I see that I can expose CiviCRM event information pages within Wordpress by one of two methods:

1. I can embed a shortcode in a Wordpress page or post.
2. I can use the CiviCRM url, of the form http://www.example.org.uk/?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/event/info&reset=1&id=6.

If I use the shortcode option, Wordpress - which has permalinks enabled - displays the post as something like http://example.com/post-title. In my set-up the CiviCRM content is displayed using this approach, but not the event map for some reason (this may be linked to the fact that I'm using the settings_location.php file in my set up as the Wordpress installation directory layout is not the default), the styling is a little different due to differences in the CSS, and of course the page heading is as set in Wordpress, which is not necessarily the same as the event title set in CiviCRM.

Any clues as to why to the Google map is not displayed would be gratefully received.

I'd like to use the more friendly URL, as this also more helpful to the site admin and facilitates the auto-population of a Wordpress events menu.
