No Menu Disappear Admin Menu Wordpress
December 27, 2013, 12:03:55 pm
I have an issue and a solution to the mysterious disappearing menus.

Situation: Admin menu fails to appear, leaving you helpless.
I had this happen after a fresh install of CiviCRM 4.4.3 in the latest Wordpress. When testing using the upgrade method I did not have the issue.

Solution: Manually browse to "Settings - Cleanup Caches and Update Paths" at
http://<wordpress install>/wp-admin/admin.php?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/admin/setting/updateConfigBackend&reset=1

Verify that the 'Base URL' is that of the 'civicrm' working directory and not that of the Wordpress homepage, such as
http://<wordpress install>/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/ rather than simply http://<wordpress install>/
