Twilio & CiviCRM
December 30, 2013, 07:16:23 pm
Hi

I have set up the two gateways listed for CiviCRM - Twilio and Clickatell. Clickatell works fine but I am having problems getting Twilio to work. When I send the SMS message, it goes thought the process with no errors and tells me that the process is completed but in fact the mail is not being sent. I checked the Twilio dashboard but there is no record of the SMS. Contacted Twilio via email an there is no attempt to send the SMS to my account.

Seems to be a gateway issue. Any suggestions? I am using the latest version of CiviCRM 4.4.3 and the twilio downloaded from https://civicrm.org/extensions/twilio-sms-provider

any chance you can debug the twilio extension and see if you can figure out whats happening, where and why

someone else mentioned this issue too, so seems like there is a bug in the current integration with twilio

thanx

Hello Donald

Thank you for your response. Sorry, I do not know how to debug the extension as I have no experience in programming. If you can point me to the instructions I would be happy to post the results.

Wayne

if your org/client can afford it, might be worth hiring a developer to help debug and submit the patches back to core.

if not, seems like u'll need to wait till someone else comes down who needs th extension and can submit a fix for it

Thank you for your response.

I will use Clickatell until a patch is developed. I hope the people who made this module sees this issue and address it in short time.

Thanks.
