Webforms CiviCRM requirements question
January 01, 2014, 04:38:43 am
Can you please tell me what the system requirements are for Webforms CiviCRM?  We are on Drupal 6.28.  Will Webforms Civi play nicely or do we need to move to 7?  (We hesitate to do so as there is some custom code we will have to leave behind).

Thanks!

Hershel

This module works with Drupal 6 and there is a full compatibility chart on the module page:

https://drupal.org/project/webform_civicrm

so you can see all the details.

Are there any features that we will be missing out on if we don't upgrade?

Yes the 6x branch is not really maintained and probably is not fully compatible with Civi 4.4 (although I can vouch that it works fine with Civi 4.3).
The 6.x branch stops at version 2, so you'd be missing out on features such as:
  • Search/autocomplete existing contacts
  • Paid events
  • Contributions
  • Memberships
  • CiviPetition integration
However Webform-CiviCRM-Integration does have a clean upgrade path from d6 to d7 so you can always get started with it on d6 and upgrade later.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.
