I am confused about the process of adding a family membership using a webfom. I have created a webform to collect all the contact information and relationships, but when then?

Is the process to first create the contacts and then to have the primary purchase a membership? Is there a way to purchase the household membership and then sign up everyone at one time and have the membership information update correctly and automatically?

What I would do is:
- Add a contact of type "household" to the webform if you haven't already.
- Add the relationships btw household and the people
- Configure membership fields for the household
- Configure payment fields for the person filling out the form - this should be contact 1 of type Individual.
- That's it for the webform. But back in CiviCRM you need to configure your "inherited membership" rules such that the familiy members inherit the membership from the household.
